Our Journey

Family Kindness Festival

An amazing day at the Family Kindness Festival spreading stroke awareness and community health education! 💙

Through the S.T.R.A.P. the Stroke booth, I had the opportunity to impact 400+ students and families by teaching the importance of recognizing stroke symptoms early using BE FAST. Families stopped by to learn more about stroke awareness, explore the S.T.R.A.P. the Stroke App, and discover how quick action can save lives.

At the booth, we shared educational bookmarks and distributed stroke awareness infographics — including a special collaborative infographic created by the Virtual Brain Health Center and S.T.R.A.P. the Stroke, along with additional educational resources provided by Sevaro.

Seeing hundreds of families engage in conversations about brain health and prevention was truly inspiring. Every bookmark, infographic, and conversation helps build a more informed and prepared community. 🌟

Each participant received stroke awareness infographics and bookmarks, and we donated two copies of the book to be officially cataloged into the library system — ensuring future readers can continue learning these important lessons.

An unforgettable experience at the House of Code at the United States Capitol!

I had the opportunity to share the mission behind the S.T.R.A.P. the Stroke App with hundreds of passionate, like-minded students from across the nation — showing how technology and education can work together to spread life-saving stroke awareness

During the event, I connected with officials and leaders, met Max Miller, and had the honor of giving him a copy of BEFAST: Be a Superhero to help continue spreading the BE FAST message. I also had the incredible opportunity to meet Nancy Pelosi and share the importance of youth-led health advocacy.

From community classrooms to the U.S. Capitol, this journey continues to prove that young people can create meaningful impact through innovation, education, and awareness.

2026 Brain Health Awareness Week

The Future of Brain Health Starts Now: Young Changemakers Driving Impact Today

I was truly honored to be part of “The Future of Brain Health Starts Now: Young Changemakers Driving Impact Today.”

During the 2026 Brain Health Awareness Week, I had the opportunity to share my journey as a stroke health educator and talk about how youth-led education can transform communities. From teaching students the BE FAST warning signs to building conversations around prevention, awareness, and action — this work proves that age does not limit impact.

Seeing young leaders come together with a shared mission reminded me that the future of brain health isn’t something we wait for — it’s something we build now. Every conversation, every classroom, and every community reached brings us one step closer to saving lives through awareness.

Grateful to contribute my voice and represent the power of education, advocacy, and prevention in shaping healthier futures. 💙
